Kings District RCMP investigating fatal motorcycle collision

At 6:53 p.m. on August 27, Kings District RCMP responded to a call of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Highway 1 in Auburn. The driver was thrown from the motorcycle during the collision.

The motorcycle driver, a 55-year-old man from Coldbrook, Kings County, died at the scene. The driver of the car was not injured. An RCMP Collision Analyst was called to the scene to investigate, and Hwy. 1 was closed in the area of the collision for several hours. It has since re-opened. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
