Joint Enforcement leads to 50 Charges under Highway Traffic Act

On Friday, October 13, 2017 Kings District RCMP with the Provincial Enforcement Officers (Highway Safety) conducted joint Highway Traffic Enforcement in Kings RCMP Patrol Area. The morning started with speed enforcement in Mount Mellick area, where top speeds were observed at 140km/hr in the posted 90km/hr zone. Members continued enforcement activities in the Town of Montague. Three drivers were issued Summary Offence Tickets for Using Hand Held Devices While Operating a Motor Vehicle.

Kings District RCMP has several joint initiatives planned with Highway Safety Division in the coming months. The RCMP and Highway Safety Division would like remind the travelling public to monitor their speed as temperature drops and roads become more slippery...
