Indian Brook RCMP intercepts shipment of prescription pills

On October 6, following an investigation, Indian Brook RCMP conducted a targeted traffic stop on Indian Rd. During the vehicle stop, RCMP members located a woman in the driver's seat and a man in the passenger seat. The man was in possession of a significant quantity of prescription pills, and was subsequently arrested. Police seized quantities of hydromorphone, Dilaudid, and Percocet pills. The woman was not implicated in the offence.

Jerry Francis Sack, 55, of Indian Brook, was arrested and has been charged with four counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Controlled Substance.

Sack was released from custody later that day and is scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court on November 27. The investigation is ongoing.
