Human remains identified as Fredericton woman

Human remains discovered on Gagetown Island in the Saint John River have been positively identified as a Fredericton woman.

The remains were discovered by a boater on the island in the Jemseg area on September 19, 2017. Subsequent analysis confirmed the remains were those of a 44-year-old Fredericton woman who was last seen on January 21, 2017.

Foul play has been ruled out.
