Highway closure due to motor vehicle collision

The RCMP wish to advise the motoring public they are on the scene of a collision on Highway 104 eastbound just west of New Glasgow. Traffic will be detoured at Exit 21 on to the old Pictou road re-entering the highway at Exit 22. RCMP estimate the highway will be closed for approximately two to three hours.

A Pictou County RCMP vehicle was on scene investigating a two vehicle non-injury collision when it was struck from behind by another motorist. The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries. The police officer was not injured.
