Hebb's Cross, Nova Scotia

News release

At 8:20 p.m. last evening, Lunenburg District RCMP was called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision in Hebb's Cross, at the intersection of Conquerall Rd. and Hwy. 103. When police arrived on scene, they located a severely damaged small car, and a tractor trailer that had rolled on to its side.

The driver of the car, a 50-year-old man from Chelsea, Lunenburg Co., was deceased. The driver of the truck was not injured, while the female passenger of the truck was transported to hospital with minor injuries. Initial investigation has determined that the car was travelling West, and crossed the centre line, coming into the path of the eastbound truck.

Highway 103 was closed from the time of the collision until 9:30 this morning.

Our thoughts are with the victim's family at this difficult time.
