Happy Valley-Goose Bay man charged with Robbery with a Weapon

A 35-year-old man from Happy Valley-Goose Bay has been arrested and charged with the Robbery of a taxi driver in the community.

At approximately 3:00 a.m. on July 12, 2017, Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP responded to a call that a taxi driver had been robbed at knife point by a passenger he had been transporting. The male passenger demanded money and then left the vehicle on foot. The suspect was located and arrested at a residence in Sheshatshui later that morning.

Christopher Combdon has been charged with Robbery with a Weapon. He appeared in Happy Valley-Goose Bay Provincial Court yesterday. His next appearance is scheduled for July 17, 2017.
