At approximately 7:30 a.m. on October 13, 2017, Gander RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision at the intersection of Cooper Boulevard and the Trans-Canada Highway.
A van had gone through the guard rail and down over an embankment. When police arrived on the scene, there were no occupants in the vehicle.
Investigation revealed that a 41-year-old man from Gander had lost control of his vehicle when he swerved to avoid a moose. The man sustained minor injuries.
