Forty-three-year-old man operating a motorcycle charged with stunting

Yarmouth Rural RCMP charged a 43-year-old man with stunting after the motorcycle he was operating was clocked at 130 km/h in a 70 km/h zone on Highway 3 in Pleasant Lake prior to 8:30 a.m. on Monday.

The driver was charged for Stunting under the Provincial Motor Vehicle Act. Additionally, his license was suspended for 7 days and motorcycle was seized. The fine for stunting in Nova Scotia is $2,422.50.

"‎The members take pride in the communities where they live and work, and are dedicated to keeping their fellow residents safe from dangerous driving."

Nova Scotia RCMP want to remind the public that speed is one of the major causes of serious injury and fatal collisions on our roads. Road Safety is a priority for the RCMP, and drivers are reminded to make it their priority as well.
