On July 29, 2017 the Queens District RCMP were called to the scene of an ATV collision on Rackham Lane in Wheatley River. Police and EMS attempted to resuscitate the 49 year old male of Charlottetown, PE but due to the severity of his injuries, he passed away at the scene. It is believed that speed and alcohol were contributing factors n the collision and the victim was not wearing a helmet.
The investigation is continuing.
