Fairbanks man dies as a result of motorcycle collision

Teslin RCMP on scene at a single-vehicle motorcycle collision on Alaska Highway, south of Jakes Corner.

At approximately 11:00 am on Sunday, June 11th, Teslin RCMP and Yukon Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of a single-vehicle motorcycle collision near kilometre 1320 of the Alaska Highway, just south of Jakes Corner.

A 64-year-old man from Fairbanks, Alaska has died as a result of the collision. The man appeared to have been travelling alone on a BMW motorcycle, headed east towards Teslin, when he lost control of his motorcycle, sliding into the ditch.

An RCMP collision analyst attended to assist with scene reconstruction. The Yukon Coroner's Service also assisted with this incident.
