East Prince RCMP officer injured on Route 107, Blue Shank Road

On July 4, 2017 just before 4 p.m., a police officer of the East Prince RCMP was responding to a call for service on Route 107, Blue Shank Road, in Wilmot Valley, PE.

The police officer arrived on the scene and activated his emergency lights. As he exited his police vehicle he observed a vehicle coming toward him. The vehicle struck the police officer and sent him into the ditch. The officer was transported to the Prince County Hospital by Island EMS where he is being treated, his injuries are not life threatening.

The East Prince RCMP would like to thank the three off duty police officers and public who were on scene and provided assistance to the injured officer.

The investigation is ongoing.
