Drugs seized following search of Tidnish home

News release

Early this morning, following an investigation, members of the Cumberland County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU), searched a home in Tidnish. A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene without incident. A quantity of marihuana and a small amount of methamphetamine were located at the residence.

The man, who is from Tidnish, was released from police custody a short time after his arrest and is set to appear in Amherst Provincial Court on February 12, 2018. He is facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.

The investigation is ongoing.
