Dartmouth man charged with multiple historical sexual assaults

A man who has been charged with 31 counts of breaching his court-ordered conditions is facing an additional six counts of sexual assault.

James Michael Snow, 57, of Dartmouth now faces six historical sexual assault charges stemming from incidents that occurred in Walton between 1980 and 1988. The victims were females who were between five and 19 years of age at the time of the offences.

Mr. Snow was arrested in Dartmouth on November 21 on these charges and has been held in custody since his arrest. He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on November 24, 2017.

The investigators are reaching out to the public as they believe that there may be more victims. East Hants District RCMP is asking members of the public to contact the Rawdon RCMP Detachment at 902-632-2424 or 1-800-803-RCMP (7267) if they have additional information.

The investigation is ongoing.
