A 44-year-old Kennetcook man is facing several charges after fleeing Colchester District RCMP members in a pickup truck. Police attempted to stop the vehicle for speeding, and he quickly left the area. The driver later left his truck and fled into a wooded area. He was tracked and arrested at 12:50 p.m. by an RCMP Police Dog Team.
The man is facing charges of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Flight from a Peace Officer, Fail to Comply with Probation, and several charges under the Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Act. He will be held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court on June 5, 2017.
The investigation is continuing.
