Codiac RCMP seeking public assistance in suspected arson

The Codiac Regional RCMP is asking for the public's assistance in relation to a fire that occurred at a commercial building on Elmwood Drive in Moncton.

On December 9, 2017, shortly before 1 a.m., police were called to a fire at 370 Elmwood Drive. It is believed the fire started in the unit of the building where United Performance Gym is located. The gym where the fire started sustained major damage. Some people were in other parts of the building at the time of the fire, however, no one was injured.

The Codiac RCMP is investigating the cause of the fire with the assistance of the Fire Marshall's office.

Anyone with information about this incident or who may have been around the location before the fire started is asked to contact the Codiac RCMP at 506-857-2400.
