Codiac RCMP investigating attempted ATM theft

The Codiac Regional RCMP is asking for the public's assistance in relation to an attempted theft of an ATM at the Hampton Inn in Moncton.

At approximately 6:50 a.m., on November 28, 2017, an individual wearing a disguise entered the Hampton Inn hotel located on Mapleton Road and attempted to steal an ATM machine. An employee from the hotel intervened and was subsequently sprayed with pepper spray. The employee was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries and released. The person left the hotel without the ATM machine and fled the scene in a grey or green coloured SUV.

The individual is described as being 5'6" tall with a slim build.

Anyone that was in the area at the time of the incident or anyone that has any information about the suspect or the suspect vehicle is asked to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.
