Blockhouse man charged with sex-related offences

Lunenburg County District RCMP has charged a 71-year-old man for Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference following an investigation.

Brian Gregory Langille of Blockhouse, has been charged with three counts of Sexual Assault and three counts of Sexual Interference. The charges are the result of an investigation into allegations of sexual assaults against a young person that took place over several months.

Langille was arrested on August 14 and remanded into custody until August 22. He appeared in Bridgewater Provincial Court today where he was released on conditions. His next scheduled court appearance is in Bridgewater Provincial Court on October 4 at 9:30 a.m.

Investigators have reason to believe there may be other victims in the community who have not yet come forward. Those with information are asked to come forward in order to help officers further the investigation.
