Arson in West Prince prompts assistance from public

The RCMP responded to two incidents of arson on the Sunday, July 30th, 2017, at approximately 2:00 a.m.

The fires were started in two separate structures in the communities of Derby and Mount Royal.

Both structures were unoccupied and were completely destroyed.

This type of vandalism is extremely dangerous and with the fire index as high as it has been in recent weeks, this could result in the fire spreading quickly and endangering surrounding structures and people. If you have any information about either of these cases of arson, please contact the West Prince RCMP or provide your information anonymously with information about this issue that might assist RCMP in this investigation via P.E.I.
