Moncton woman charged in connection with internet child exploitation investigation

A 26-year-old Moncton woman has been charged in connection with an internet child exploitation investigation.

In May 2016, the New Brunswick RCMP's Internet Child Exploitation Unit began investigating after receiving information from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre in Ottawa about images of child sexual abuse being made available online

On June 9, 2016, a search warrant was executed at the woman's residence on Main Street in Moncton, and electronic items were seized. The woman was arrested and released on conditions.

On February 3, 2017, Cindy Lynn Noel, appeared in Moncton Provincial Court to face a charge of possession of child pornography. She is scheduled to return to court on March 17, 2017.

The investigation is ongoing.
