The Northeast District RCMP are investigating a fatal collision between a tractor trailer and an all-terrain vehicle (ATV). The collision occurred on Nicolas Denys Road in Nicolas Denys, at approximately 10:15 p.m. on August 28, 2017.
A 61-year-old man from Nicolas Denys passed away at the scene as a result of his injuries. The collision occurred when the victim's ATV collided with an on-coming tractor trailer truck. The driver of the truck was not injured. Speed and failing to stop at a stop sign are believed to be factors in the collision.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and is assisting with the investigation.
