Police investigate theft from new housing development

Police are investigating theft of construction tools from a new housing development in Cole Harbour.

Halifax District RCMP responded to a complaint involving the theft of several thousand dollars worth of construction tools from the Loonview Lane housing development. Sometime between 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3 and 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 5 thieves entered a secured trailer and stole the following items:

  • Spectra 300 laser level (contains legs and a case)
  • STIHL concrete cutsaw
  • Honda electric inverter E2000
  • Dewalt SDS hammer drill
  • 2 Dewalt 1/2 inch drills
  • 3 diamond tip metal concrete saw blades
  • Dewalt grinder
  • Dewalt reciprocal cordless saw
  • Dewalt wormdrive skillsaw

The investigation is ongoing and is now being led by the Integrated General Investigation Section.
