Single Vehicle Collision in Kildare

On January 31st 2017 at approximately 9:30 am, the Prince District RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision on Route 12 in the community of Kildare. Members from both the East and West Prince RCMP Detachments responded along with members of Island Emergency Health Services, the Alberton Fire Department and the Department of Highways.

All three occupants of the vehicle, including the driver, were transported to hospital with undetermined injuries. The driver, a 24 year old male from Christopher Cross, was arrested by police for impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and subsequently provided samples of his blood which will be analyzed for blood alcohol content. The driver was later released and the investigation is continuing.

At the time of this release all three occupants of the vehicle were still at hospital being treated.
