Man and woman charged in Riverside Grocery robbery

As 23-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman from St. Stephen, N.B., have been charged in connection with a robbery at Riverside Grocery in St. Stephen that occurred on the evening of January 23, 2017, when a man and woman armed with knives entered the store, approached the clerk and demanded money.

Two suspects were arrested on January 30, 2017, following police investigation.

Both were held in custody and appeared in Saint John provincial court on January 31. Thomas Joseph Moore and Jasmine Dee Marie Clifford were charged with robbery and wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence. They have both been remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in court again on February 2 at 11:00 a.m.
