The RCMP is seeking to arrest a 29-year-old man on a charge of second degree murder in relation to the death of Christopher O'Reilly, 36, of Warburg, who died on the night of Monday, Jan. 30 after sustaining injuries in an incident which police now are investigating as a homicide.
An autopsy was completed this past Tuesday in which the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the manner of death to be homicide.
A warrant of arrest has been issued for Gerald Peter KRAHN, 29, formerly of Grande Prairie, who is wanted on one count of second degree murder in relation to the death of Christopher O'Reilly.
Gerald Peter Krahn is considered to be armed and dangerous. The RCMP would like caution the public that Krahn should not be approached if seen. If anyone does see him or knows of his whereabouts, they are encouraged to call the police immediately.
Gerald Peter Krahn was last known to be staying the Beaumont area but currently is of no fixed address.
The homicide investigation is ongoing with police resources from the Thorsby RCMP Detachment, Edmonton MCU and other specialized units of the RCMP.
