RCMP charges driver for stunting

This past Saturday, April 1, members of the RCMP's Northern Traffic Services in Bible Hill conducted a traffic stop for a speeding vehicle. The 47-year-old driver, who had four passengers in the vehicle with her, was travelling at 176 km/h on Highway 104, which is 66 km/h over the posted limit. The driver, who is from Dartmouth, is facing a charge of Stunting under the Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Act.

As a result of this charge, her driver's license was immediately suspended for seven days and the vehicle was impounded.

Nova Scotia RCMP Traffic Services want to remind the public that speed is one of the major causes of serious injuries and fatal collisions on our roads. Road Safety is a priority for the RCMP, and drivers are reminded to make it their priority as well.
