Halifax District RCMP investigates weapons complaint

Halifax District RCMP are investigating a weapons complaint that occurred today in Cole Harbour.

At 1:00 p.m. today, RCMP received information from the public that a small group of youths were seen walking into Cole Harbour Place with what appeared to be a handgun.

Cole Harbour RCMP along with the assistance of a Halifax Regional Police K9 Service Dog responded to the building and located the individuals and seized the replica handgun.

No one was injured during this incident; however the building was locked down for a period of time this afternoon.

The investigation is ongoing.
