Police search for second person of interest in shooting death

Update - Two people of interest in Lincoln shooting arrested

The RCMP New Brunswick's Major Crime Unit is now investigating a shooting in Lincoln as a homicide and seeking a second person of interest.

Police are still attempting to locate a 30-year-old man from the Kingsclear First Nation. The vehicle he was suspected to have been driving was discovered last evening on the Kingsclear First Nation and has been seized as part of the ongoing investigation.

Police are now also looking for a 23-year-old woman from Fredericton, as a person of interest.

In the early morning hours of January 26, the RCMP were called regarding a shooting in Tamarack Park off the Lincoln Road in Lincoln, N.B. The victim, a 34-year-old man from Fredericton was taken to hospital, where he died later that afternoon.
