Two 33-year-old women are facing drug trafficking charges after arrests by the RCMP in the Moncton area.

One woman was arrested on March 23, 2017, with several hundred tablets of what is believed to be methamphetamine divided in different packages. The second woman was arrested the same day for trafficking crack cocaine.

Both women were released pending a court appearance on May 23.

The arrests were made as part of a joint forces operation between Codiac Regional RCMP, Codiac Street Crime and New Brunswick RCMP's Federal Serious and Organized Crime.
