Halifax District RCMP charges driver for impaired driving following collision

Halifax District RCMP responded to a collision at 10:45 last evening in which a vehicle struck a utility pole and the driver left the scene on foot. No one was hurt.

As a result, 36-year-old Kevin Charles Purcell of Beaverbank was charged with Impaired Driving, Driving with a Blood Alcohol Content over 80 mg%, and Driving While Disqualified. He will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court later today.

The RCMP would like to remind the public that any time you suspect a driver is impaired, report it by calling 911.
