Man and woman arrested for L’Anse Au Loup armed robbery

Forteau RCMP have arrested a 35-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both from Burin, in connection with an armed robbery in L'Anse Au Loup on Tuesday night.

Police were called to a convenience store in the community at approximately 9:00 p.m. after receiving a report of an armed robbery. The suspect entered the store and demanded cash from the clerks.

No one was physically injured during the robbery.

Both are being held in custody and are scheduled to appear in Happy Valley-Goose Bay Provincial Court today.

The investigation is continuing and anyone who may have information is asked to please call the Forteau RCMP at (709) 931-2790.
