Carbonear man charged with practising medicine without license

Following a lengthy investigation, a 23-year-old man from Carbonear, Newfoundland and Labrador, has been charged with practising medicine without a license and offering medical services while not licensed.

In December 2016, Harbour Grace RCMP received a complaint regarding a man claiming, in conversations via social media, to have medical training and offering to perform medical services.

On February 20, 2017, Joshua Chubbs was charged under the Provincial Medical Act with practising medicine without a license and offering medical services while not licensed. He is scheduled to appear in Harbour Grace Provincial Court on April 12, 2017.

The investigation is ongoing.
