On February 5th, 2017, at approximately 2:45 am, Yellowknife RCMP received a report that a male had been stabbed in the community of Ndilo. Police and emergency medical responders were immediately dispatched.
A male was treated on scene and transported to Stanton General Hospital with serious injuries.
As a result of the ensuing investigation police have arrested and charged 25-year-old Kesangar Mahalingam, of Toronto, ON, with aggravated assault. Mr. Mahalingam has been remanded until February 8th, 2017 for a show cause hearing in Yellowknife.
