Police investigate shooting

Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred yesterday.

At approximately 1 p.m. yesterday, Halifax District RCMP were advised of a report of two men admitted to Dartmouth General Hospital with gunshot wounds. A preliminary investigation determined the men were shot within RCMP jurisdiction. Both sustained non-life threatening injuries.

A vehicle, which appears to have been involved in a collision on Lake Major Rd. in Westphal, is connected to the investigation.

The investigation is being led by the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division. Officers are in the early stages of the investigation.
