The Prince Edward Island RCMP is releasing new details about the investigation into "Baby Albion" in the hopes of uncovering more information about the case. Two years ago today, on April 12, 2015, the body of a newborn infant was found near the Birch Hill Free Church of Scotland in Mount Albion, P.E.I.

The RCMP is now confirming that Baby Albion was a full-term baby boy. His body was discovered wrapped in a towel with an embroidered green frog on it, the image of which has been previously released to the public. Since discovering Baby Albion, police have been using a variety of investigative processes to determine who his parents are, including exploring kinship DNA to see if they can determine the family Baby Albion belonged to.

"The RCMP has been working diligently to determine what happened to Baby Albion and who his family is," says Cst. Shannon Hodder of the P.E.I RCMP Major Crime Unit. "The people of Mount Albion have come together to honour this little boy and put him to rest. I know those people want answers as much as we do. We are asking anyone with information – no matter how insignificant it may seem – to come forward to help us find those answers."

Police are again releasing the image of the green frog from the towel Baby Albion was wrapped in. If anyone remembers seeing someone with this type of embroidered frog image or any other information to please contact the RCMP at 902-368-9300. Information can also be provided anonymously through P.E.I. Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), peicrimestoppers.com or you texting to 274637 and add TIP162 and your message. A cash award of up to $2,000 is available if the information helps to solve the case.
