RCMP investigating suspicious house fire

The Northeast District RCMP is asking for the public's help regarding a suspicious fire that destroyed a home in Notre-Dame-des-Érables, N.B.

On March 30, around 4:30 a.m., fire crews responded to a call on Route 340 in Notre-Dame-des-Érables. Three local fire departments responded to the call, but the house was completely destroyed. No one was in the home at the time of the fire, however a firefighter was injured during the response. The cause of the fire has been deemed suspicious.

Anyone with information about this fire, or who may have seen any kind of suspicious activity in the area on March 30, is asked to contact the RCMP in Caraquet at 506-726-5222.
