Timberlea man faces child pornography charges

A Timberlea man is facing child pornography charges after an investigation by the RCMP Integrated Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit of the Criminal Investigation Division.

On March 7, the ICE Unit initiated an investigation upon receipt of information involving posting of child pornography and the risk of a victim being in the local area.

As a result of the investigation, the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Timberlea. A 34-year-old man was arrested without incident and is facing the following charges:

  • Make Child Pornography
  • Possess Child Pornography
  • Make Available Child Pornography
  • Sexual Assault
  • Sexual Interference
  • Sexual Exploitation of a Person with a Disability
  • Unsafe Storage of a Firearm

He was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court Friday afternoon.

The investigation is continuing.
