Man assaulted in his home, RCMP investigating

Just before 1 a.m. yesterday, two men entered a 54-year-old man's home in Indian Brook. Once inside, one of the men picked up a cribbage board and struck the homeowner twice on the head, causing injuries. No one else was hurt. The victim was transported to hospital by EHS for treatment of cuts to his head. He was released from hospital this morning.

The suspect, was upset about a dispute that the two had the previous week. He left the victim's home after assaulting him and Indian Brook RCMP are looking for him.

The investigation is ongoing.
