News release

On December 22, 2016 just before 2:30 PM, Queens District RCMP received a 911 call from an operator working in an excavator near Highway 15 in Brackley. The operator said that a driver of a vehicle got out of his car to confront him about his work. In conversing with the driver, the operator observed signs of intoxication and as a result 'prevented' the driver from fleeing with the 'bucket' on the excavator - see photograph.

When Queens District RCMP arrived at the scene, the 50 year old male driver from Brackley Beach was seen in another vehicle whom he had contacted for assistance. The accused was taken back to the Queens District Office at Maypoint where samples of his breath were recorded at three (3) times the legal limit.

911 Saves Lives ! Please continue to report suspicious activity that might involve impaired driving.
