Inuvik RCMP investigating B&E and theft of ATM

Inuvik RCMP responded to a report of a Break and Enter that occurred in Inuvik, NT. An unknown person or persons gained entry to the store and attempted to steal an ATM machine from the premises.

Inuvik RCMP responded to a call for service in the early morning hours of February 7th, 2017, at approximately 4:00 A.M. A witnesses observed someone attempting to break into the Mac's Convenience Store located at 2 Berger Street, Inuvik, NT. The witness pointed a flashlight at the suspect who fled on foot. Further investigation of the scene determined that the suspect was in the process of attempting to break into an ATM they forcibly removed from the store.

The RCMP "G" Division Forensic Identification Section are assisting with the investigation.

Inuvik RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the person or persons responsible for this crime.
