The team working on the RCMP's Merchants against Counterfeiting program is offering merchants and professionals living in Quebec a free workshop, in order to raise awareness about this issue. This is an excellent opportunity for merchants and employees to learn about the security features of the new polymer banknotes and the previous series.

The workshop will allow merchants to receive information that is adapted to their needs, while increasing awareness of various means of protection and resources available to help keep their businesses secure. The presentation is offered in English or French. In order to offer a flexible and efficient service, the team will give a thirty minute presentation right at the workplace of the interested merchants. Educational material will be distributed to all participants to promote the program to all the employees.

The interactive presentation was created by the Montréal RCMP Integrated Counterfeit Enforcement Team (ICET), as well as the Bank of Canada and the U.S. Secret Service.
