Sunset Ceremonies, Canada 150 edition
Join us for the RCMP's Canadian Sunset Ceremonies, June 23-25!
Sunset Ceremonies is cancelled tonight (June 25) due to weather conditions.
What better way to celebrate Canada's 150th Anniversary than by attending our world-famous Musical Ride show in the nation's capital? The iconic image of the Mountie on horseback is recognized around the world as a symbol of Canadian heritage and identity.
The Sunset Ceremonies is a time-honoured tradition in Ottawa, featuring a performance by the world-famous RCMP Musical Ride and our signature flag-lowering ceremony at sunset, among other activities and police displays.
The Musical Ride, with a full troop of 32 riders and their horses, consists of complex and thrilling cavalry figures and drills choreographed to music. These movements demand the utmost control, timing and coordination.
The RCMP is proud to be a part of Canada's 150th Anniversary celebrations. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the show!
Admission is free. The RCMP Foundation will be accepting donations on site in support of Canadian youth initiatives in communities across Canada. Please be generous.
