Murdered: Danielle Nyland

Last seen: June 8, 2015 in the Holbien and Shelbrook area in Saskatchewan

Remains found: June 19, 2015 just outside Holbien, Saskatchewan

The eldest sibling of three, Danielle Nyland was a caring, generous, family-oriented woman who was starting a career in nursing. She was bubbly, smart, and carefree. Danielle loved hockey - she cheered for the Montreal Canadians. Her friendly smile and laugh drew people to her.

Danielle was 22-years-old at her time of death. Her remains were discovered by RCMP in a wooded area near a trail approximately 500 meters south of the location she was last seen, (and where her cellphone was found). Unfortunately, an autopsy could not determine cause of death.

Danielle was out with friends on the night of June 7, 2015, and was seen at a gas station in Shellbrook before 8 am the next morning.

Danielle's family and friends are searching for answers, justice, and closure. If you have information on this case, please contact any of the following:
