During the evening of February 11, 1979, the Police Dog Services at Richmond, BC, received a request to assist in the search for a woman who had wandered away from her house while suffering the effects of a drug overdose.
Upon arriving at the scene, police service dog Damon found a track which he followed into a field for approximately one-quarter mile where the woman, conscious but unable to stand, was located. She was removed immediately to hospital for treatment.
