Description
- The course will develop qualified firearm instructors at the delivery level to provide quality instruction.
- 9 days
- Maximum 18 candidates
Objectives
- Upon completion of this training, the candidate can expect to acquire an ability to:
- identify major range administration requirements;
- demonstrate shooting techniques according to the RCMP Firearms Training Manual;
- provide corrective instruction to problem shooters;
- the application of safety procedures; and
- the knowledge required to administer an annual shoot.
Pre-requisites
- Candidates must:
- be sworn peace officers with authority to carry a restricted/prohibited firearm in the lawful execution of their duties;
- have sharpshooter qualification (minimum 90% of possible score) in PPC;
- possess a positive attitude and a mature approach to firearms training; and
- have Practical Shotgun Course.
