Processing fee

Civil Fingerprinting Screening Services

There is a processing fee of $25 CAN or US equivalent per criminal record and/or vulnerable sector check. Payment must be made by certified cheque or money order to the Receiver General for Canada.

This fee does not apply to all requests. Read the following information carefully to find out which applies to you:

Foreign travel, Visas, U.S. Waiver, Border Crossing Applications for Immigration to Canada
Employment; private industries Federal Government Screening when requested by Departmental Security Officers
Permanent residency in foreign countries (except Canada) Canadian Police Force personnel when requested by Canadian police force officers
Applications to obtain criminal record search to apply for a Pardon Volunteer work (e.g. Boys and Girls Club). Request must be accompanied by written confirmation from a bona fide registered non-profit organization.

The federal processing fee is in addition to any local service fees required for fingerprinting by a police service and/or an accredited fingerprinting company. The RCMP does not regulate service fees for criminal record and/or vulnerable sector checks performed by police agencies and accredited fingerprinting companies.
