Program and Contact Information

The Canadian Firearms Program has a toll-free information and referral line dedicated to police and public agents. Information about the Firearms Act and its regulations or Part III of the Criminal Code and ordering forms and training material from the Canadian Firearms Program are only a phone call away. You can also call for referrals to appropriate subject-matter experts.

This non-emergency line is staffed from 08:30 to 16:30 (EST) (Monday to Friday) by retired police officers. If you call outside of these hours, or if the operators are tied up with other calls, you can leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
