On April 23, 2024, at approximately 11:45 pm, as a result of an ongoing investigation, Lac du Bonnet RCMP conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle located on Highway 11 in the RM of Lac du Bonnet.
As a result of the traffic stop, the 46-year-old female driver, from the RM of Alexander, and the 34-year-old male passenger, from Lac du Bonnet, were arrested on scene.
A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of a quantity of cocaine and illegal cannabis.
The subsequent investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at a residence, located in Lac du Bonnet, where officers seized an additional quantity of cocaine, illegal cannabis, psilocybin, cash and other drug-related paraphernalia.
Lac du Bonnet RCMP continue to investigate.
